At Anchor242 Church, we are committed to being rooted in God’s Word, building our lives on Scripture to know and live like Jesus; established in fellowship, growing together in Christ and cultivating unity with other believers; and grounded through prayer, seeking God’s will through the Holy Spirit. As we live out Acts 2:42, we embrace God’s Word as our guide for worshiping Jesus and fulfilling the Great Commission locally and globally.
Pastor Dave Atkins
I’ve had the privilege of serving in ministry for 25 years within a Calvary Chapel, where my wife Denisa and I were deeply shaped by the Word of God and a love for Christ’s church. We’ve been married for 22 years and have served side by side in the work of the gospel from the very beginning.
By God’s goodness and perfect timing, we stepped out in faith to plant Anchor242—an independent, non-denominational church built on the Acts 2:42 model, devoted to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. We’re not aiming to create a new denomination, but we do sense the Lord’s liberty to network with pastors and churches across denominational lines, both locally and globally.
We are incredibly grateful for the team God provided to help us launch this church on January 5, 2025. Each one is a gift, and we truly couldn’t do this without them.
I believe God has called me to simply teach the whole counsel of His Word—clearly, practically, and faithfully—so that people may grow in Christ, be equipped for life and ministry, and reach others with the gospel.
